in three short weeks my sweet baby girl will turn one. it really blows my mind. since she is so young and doesn't understand parties yet, we are going to have a small gathering of family to celebrate the occasion. this is my collection of inspiration for her party. i am working on a birthday banner for her. it is coming along quite nicely. i want to make a crown similar to the crowns that soule mama makes. so cute! and i've decided which cake to bake. she hasn't had any dessert/sugar yet. i feel like this plum and raspberry upside down cake will be delicious and festive, but won't have the full-on sugar overload that a white cake coated in chocolate frosting would. besides, who doesn't want a cake topped with plums and raspberries?
