garden update

to say that it is raining here would be an understatement.

i peaked inside the tunnel cloches this morning and found that they, ironically, needed a little water. i was really happy to see that despite the snowy mornings things are sprouting! here we have snap peas, shelling peas, chard, spinach, and pac choi. in the other bed i saw lettuce, radishes, and a couple of beets.  i'm so glad we put these tunnel cloches up! otherwise i fear these sprouts wouldn't have made it with the snow and chilly weather. i hope it warms up soon, because i'll have to take the tunnels down to put a trellis in for the peas in a few weeks...

  2. I was in Portland briefly on Sunday and it was very cold and miserable. I'm glad we got back to Colorado where it was in the 60's! However, we need the moisture if I want to start planting in the next couple of weeks!
